This may be Chicago’s most important election since 1983 when Harold W. Washington was elected mayor. Chicago has never faced such dire economic, social, and political problems as it does now. The best way for us to move forward is to change our city’s political culture, norms, and environment. We also must change Chicago’s political process and system. The change we so desperately need will never happen unless there are concerned citizens like you who are willing to sacrifice some of their time to make Chicago a better place to live.
